MICHIGAN AIRPORT CONFERENCE REGISTRATION SCHOLARSHIP

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Michigan Association of Airport Executives is a co-sponsor of the Michigan Airport Conference in cooperation with the Michigan Department of Transportation, Bureau of Aeronautics. This conference, held annually, provides an excellent opportunity for airport management, Federal Aviation staff, Michigan Bureau of Aeronautics staff, aviation related consultants and vendors to address issues concerning airport operations and administration.

Speakers for this two-day conference include representatives of the Michigan Bureau of Aeronautics, the Federal Aviation Administration and the Transportation Security Administration, along with other speakers presenting information regarding current aviation issues.

The MAAE offers the opportunity for Michigan college/university students registered in an airport management program to attend this conference with a "Registration Scholarship," which would enhance their education and offer networking opportunities. This scholarship will cover all registration costs. It will not cover lodging, transportation or other expenses.

The MAAE Executive Board will determine the number of Registration Scholarships to be awarded each calendar year. To be eligible, the applicant must be an active student in good standing in a Michigan college/university aviation management program. Applicants will be judged on their participation of aviation activities, academic grades and other such criteria.

All information on the application is subject to verification by the MAAE. However, the information will be kept confidential and used only in the scholarship selection process.

Failure of an applicant to provide the requested information will be grounds for disqualification.
